The “Happening” song of ‘Mein or Mrs. Khanna’ is really turning out to be happening among the junta. Preity Zinta is truly looking refreshing and ravishing as ever in the song. But she has only one qualm. Preity is not in favour of people calling it as an ‘item song’. She stated that the song was an outcome of lot of hard work and dedication. It is said to be brought out with an aesthetical sense and is in fact a fun song. Preity felt that it is not a good idea to call it an item song even before the film has released.
Echoing her complain, director Prem Soni too claimed that it is not fair to give “Happening” an item tag. He said that Preity agreed to do be a part of the movie as a token of friendship for Salman and gave her consent to do a fun, dance number.
Justifying her role in the movie, Soni reaveled, “Preity plays Hasina Jagmagiya. It is a character which goes into the song Happening. Her character is very integral to the story as she is the one who leads to the climax.”
Taking into consideration that this is something that Preity has done for first time, one should call “Happening” as her comeback song. What’s your take, eh?

Mandira, a product of the London School of Fashion, used fabrics such as brocade, cotton, linen, silk and net for her collection in colours that ranged from ivory and beige to softer baby pinks and lilacs, before climaxing in corals.
Sophie also said: "I love fashion. The sari is the ultimate feminine outfit. Our Indian designers have made saris a style statement. Preity Zinta is the most feminine and carries everything with lot of grace and elegance."
Mandira feels sequins are internationally in vogue and has designed her wardrobe keeping in mind the festive season round the corner.
Talking about the market, Mandira said: "I am really hoping to get some business from Kolkata, the market is picking up now after the slowdown. With festivity round the corner, business should be good."

Rani Mukherji was on TV last night, insisting that she wasn’t getting married. “I don’t know why journalists keep marrying me off,” she said irritatedly. “I’m NOT getting married!”
The other day, I read an interview with Kareena Kapoor where she too insisted that she wasn’t planning to get married for the next few years. Preity Zinta also says she’s tired of telling people that she is not going to get married anytime soon.
And these are just three actresses – there are many others, all going equally blue in the face denying shaadi rumours.
The subtext seems to be this: ‘If people think I’m going to get married, I won’t have any film offers. Producers will shy away from me. They’ll get scared that if I get married, I might get pregnant and then their film will suffer. Also, Indian film audiences like their film heroines to be unmarried. No one likes married heroines.’
(Remember how Juhi Chawla never let on that she had got married? Suddenly one day I heard she had a child and I kept wondering, “Lekin shaadi kab hui?”)
Why is getting married considered to be professional hara-kiri in Bollywood? I mean, there have been/there are enough actresses who played/are playing lead roles despite having taken the plunge. Sharmila Tagore, Saira Banu, Hema Malini… Today, there’s Aishwarya Rai.
I find the whole notion extremely bizarre.
Nobody I know has ever said, “Hey, I don’t want to see this film because so-and-so actress in the film is married in real life!” If you are an absolutely lunatic fan of a particular actress and she gets married, you might say, “He didn’t deserve her!” or something equally moronic, but are you going to boycott her movies? (Or would she really have lost her appeal?)
About this pregnancy thing, well, surely it’s in the hands of the actress concerned as to when she decides to have a baby.
So what’s the fuss about? But since all actresses seem to react in a similar way, maybe there’s some truth to their fears. Is it that even though they might get roles post-marriage, it definitely marks the beginning of a slow fade-out?

But it will make you value what you have, which I think is something all of us just take for granted,” Soni said.
Madhuri Dixit Nene has confirmed her participation as judge for Sony Entertainment Television’s Dance Premier League. Choreographer Shaimak Davar will join her as the second judge.Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is yet to confirm of her participation as the third judge. If her dates don’t work out, Javed Jaffery or Arshad Warsi may step in.
Auditions for the show have already started in Delhi , one of the six zones — North, East, South, West, Central and NRI.
Each zone will have a brand ambassador who will announce the names of the finalists of their zones. Salman Khan will be rooting for the North zone, Bipasha Basu for East and Arshad Warsi for South.
The production house is in talks with Preity Zinta and Kareena Kapoor for Central and West zones respectively. They have also approached Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol for the NRI zone along with Katrina Kaif though she is likely to back out.
The recent buzz is that our very own Preity Zinta will be seen with jhatkaas and matkaas in the item number “Happening” featuring in the Bebo-Sallu starrer ‘Main Aur Mrs Khanna’.

And no, she has not copied Ash, as she has just agreed to do a ‘special’ song in the flick, and not an item song like Ash’s ‘Kajra Re’. The flick stars Kareena Kapoor and Sohail Khan too. The perky actor said to a news daily, “It’s an interesting cameo. The song’s called ‘Happening’ and I agreed to do it because director Prem Soni is a friend. Prem (the director) added, “Unlike Ash, who was just a part of ‘Kajra Re’, Preity plays an important role in the film.”
And the best news is that defying expectations, Preity is looking really ‘happening’ in the song. She is reported to have worked hard for the special appearance. With two super fit actors Salman and Kareena in the film, Preity forced herself to follow a special diet, take up a tough exercise regime and do yoga.
Second coming, one would say!
Far from it, and the perky Preity doesn’t want any comparisons or confusion with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who shook her hips for father and son Bachchan in the 2005 hit Bunty Aur Babli.
MUMBAI: Shah Rukh Khan, Now ambassador for Colgate, The advertisement fraternity does not seem to believe in the maxim that the hit pair of the silver screen needs to be drafted in pair for the endorsement of a product. So, the hit pair of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, one of the most romantic pairs of all times, would now be facing each other in endorsing a product. Shah Rukh Khan would be the new brand ambassador for Colgate Dental products, while Kajol is the brand ambassador for Anchor White. It would be interesting face-off between the fans of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol as they still have legendary fan following and when they would be endorsing dental products of the rival brands, it would indeed be an interesting battle that would pan out. Probably taking a cue from the fact that celebrity pairs should be roped in as pairs, Airtel decided to use Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor together in series of advertisements that are being aired on various television channels these days.
If one were to go into the history of pairing for endorsement of a brand, the history does not have a rich antiquity. Among the celebrity pairs that have figured in the past include Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone for Pepsi, and before them Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora for a coffee chain. The most successful pairing however is that of Bipasha Basu and John Abraham, but it has also been now broken up, as in the new series of Reebok advertisements it is the Indian captain, MS Dhoni who now features along with Bipasha Basu. Other pair that features on a regular basis in new campaigns is that of Ajay Devgan and Kajol, though it has not been able to enlarge its ambit, as the pairing has been used only to promote Whirlpool brand of white goods.
The concept of pairing may not have gained ground on account of the controversy that emanated with the first such campaign, that between Milind Soman and Madhu Sapre. The synergy of pairs endorsing a brand from that time onwards has been only in fits and starts and it does not follow a smooth upward curve increasing more in its ambit on a regular basis.
Interestingly enough a pairing that has been a hit was that between Aamir Khan and Darsheel after TAARE ZAMEEN PAR, and it is one of the rare advertisements where Aamir Khan appears in a pair with Darsheel, a male-male combination. This pairing has got a much larger acceptability manifest from the number of additional brands that they are endorsing. Salman Khan has also appeared for the first time in a pair along with brother Sohail Khan in Chloromint advertisement.
One only wonders whether somebody from the advertisement fraternity would do some out of the box thinking and think of featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan as the new pair endorsing a product.
